NURSING HOMES & OTHER INSTITUTIONS

Nursing homes, hospitals, adult care homes, and other institutions provide care for people suffering from many illnesses.  Good sanitation in these facilities is important to stop the spread of illnesses to those who are receiving care and to healthy people visiting those who are sick.  Nursing homes, hospitals, adult care homes, and other institutions are inspected twice a year.  Online health inspections are available soon after the inspection is completed.  Customers are encouraged to check the current sanitation score of any nursing home or institution.

If you own or operate one of these facilities in Jackson County, you should familiarize yourself with the State rules around operating a hospital, nursing home, adult care home, or other institution.
