EMPLOYEE HEALTH CLINIC

The Health Department offers an Employee Health Clinic to employees of Jackson County Government and other eligible patrons. Appointments are required for all appointments with same day visits often available. No fees are required for any services performed and County Employees are not required to use Sick Leave when coming to the Clinic.

Eligible Patrons

  • Jackson County insured full-time employee or retiree

  • Covered eligible spouse of insured full-time employee or retiree

  • Covered eligible dependent child(ren) ages 12-26* of insured full-time employee or retiree

  • Permanent, part-time employee

Note that eligible patrons ages 18+ should present a photo ID or other identifying document along with their insurance card for service.

Services Offered

  • Treatment of minor illness such as colds, flu, poison ivy, bug bites, rashes, cuts, sinus infection,.

  • Allergy shots (bring your own allergy serum)

  • Minor injury evaluation and/or treatment including minor stitches or removal

  • Lab work, with MD order

  • Blood pressure checks

  • Bridge prescriptions- you have a doctor’s appointment but your medication ran out

  • Vaccinations for all ages

  • Assistance with finding a primary care provider

  • Referral for nutrition counseling for help with weight, diabetes, etc.

  • Tobacco cessation, including prescriptions for approved products

  • Wellness physicals

  • CDL physicals

  • Law enforcement physicals

  • Family planning services: annual exam, prescription for birth control

  • Maternal health services
