PATIENT RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE IV
The Jackson County Department of Public Health is accepting applications for a (100%) time, Patient Relations Representative IV to work in the clerical unit of the health department. An employee in this position is accountable for all billing and collections generated from clinic fees; determining financial eligibility for applicable programs; and furnishing resource information to private agencies and the general public on medical and financial assistance. Applicants must possess knowledge of ICD -9 and CPT coding; a general knowledge of office procedures, methods, and practices; have ability to learn and apply a variety of guidelines as applicable to the work process; possess ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public; have ability to use a variety of office equipment as required by the position; possess a valid NC drivers’ license. MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE include graduation from a high school and possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/secretarial experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
