Adult Health Screening Clinic
The Adult Health Screening Clinic is available to anyone 18 years of age and older who has already established a relationship with a physician. Test results will be sent to that physician.
The Clinic involves two separate components: a comprehensive screening and thorough physical examination. A detailed history, blood pressure, height and weight will be taken for both clinics. Patients are offered flu and pneumonia immunizations, a TB skin test and a tetanus booster.
The physical includes a skin exam, oral exam and rectal exam (if age appropriate) for all patients. Women receive breast and pelvic examinations and a PAP smear, while men receive prostate and rectal examinations. Lab work includes urinalysis and hemoglobin.
The Comprehensive Clinic includes an EKG, and vision and hearing screening. Lab work includes a panel of blood tests which screen for many different problems and conditions and urinalysis and complete blood count. Also patients are asked to complete a personal wellness profile either by mail or at their appointment time.
This information is entered into a computer program and a personal health profile is generated for each individual patient. A written recommendation for RISK factors for heart, cancer, nutrition, fitness, stress, safety and health\age is given to patient and to share with their private provider.

Cashiers Adult Wellness Clinic is the 4th Thursday of each month from 8.30AM to 11.30AM with the exception of November and December due to holidays. Please call 828.586.8994 to make an appointment.

General Clinic
General Clinic is held Monday-Friday and offers a myriad of services. On any given day General Clinic might provide any or all of the following:
- Immunizations: infant, children and adult, flu, pneumonia, selected foreign travel shots
- Pregnancy Testing
- Blood pressure screening
- Supply visits – Women’s Preventive Health
- Injections – Depo
- General walk-ins; rash checks, communicable diseases
- HIV/STD testing and counseling
